Please remember to call in your score at the number in the top middle of your game card (the "Phone-In Scores" number).

What are game cards for??

WBSC is ultimately part of STYSA (South Texas Youth Soccer Association). STYSA is divided into an Eastern and Western District. At various levels (U11 and Up) there are competitive tournaments at the end of season (known as "Eastern District"). The teams with the best records during regular season will be allowed to compete in the tournament. There are also some other ways teams are affected by ranking; but, Eastern District is the main one. So, it is important that scores are recorded properly. The way it works, is the home team gives the "official" copy to the referee. After your game, the referee will turn this into her club and the club will mail it to BYSA. As coaches it is in your interest to also confirm the scores by phoning them in - especially if you won.

If a game does NOT have a record of the score at BYSA the HOME team records a FORFEIT. It doesn't matter who lost the card where, that's how it is (and you obviously didn't phone in the score).

Now, I know we have some smarty pants coaches who know their stuff and want to ask "Why do U7 through U10 have to print game cards and phone in scores?" It is true, that these ages do not compete in Eastern District; but, it does help us as a club to have record of their performance and it will help you as a coach to get used to doing it. Then when you hit U11 and Up you know what to do. I know you don't like it. I know at some of those "other clubs" the referee does not want to take your game card. But please, try, just for me, I know you love your webmaster!
